According to a list maintained by TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative, Microsoft, Novell, Oracle, CA and Hewlett-Packard are among the vendors most tardy when it comes to shipping fixes for known flaws. Those flaws could be used in code execution attacks. Microsoft, for example, has nine & high risk& vulnerabilities on the list. For cable companies the investment opens the door to offer bundles of service including wireless to compete with AT T and Verizon. Performance problems have forced SAP to delay plans for the volume release of its on-demand suite. Business ByDesign is a suite of ERP (enterprise resource planning) applications for midmarket companies. It is currently in an early beta test phase and SAP officials have said it won’t be able to meet its original goal of selling the product to 10,000 customers generating $1 billion in revenue by 2010.
