Kristopher E. Twomey is an attorney with six years of experience representing competitive telecommunications providers. After working for law firms in Washington, DC and San Francisco, he began a solo practice specializing in the legal and regulatory issues affecting Internet service providers, competitive local exchange carriers, and long distance service providers. Kris' experience spans a wide range from basic business issues such as contracts, ILEC billing issues, and commercial litigation; to highly specialized telecom regulatory advice on issues with state PUCs and the FCC. His clients are located throughout the country operating as small and regional ISPs, competitive local carriers, and ISPs who have started CLEC affiliates. In order to serve these clients as efficiently as possible, Kris has set his rates at half the rates commanded by typical DC lawyers and uses flat fee arrangements whenever possible. Kris is also a regular speaker at ISP-centered events including ISPCON, WISPCON, and state ISP association conventions.
