AASP Managed Services

As with any managed group program, price is driven by participation.  Our MST has researched and dedicated themselves to negotiating for the finest services at the most competitive prices, from the start, with estimated participation.  The first product will provide members with a huge reduction in cost over a single entity price.  Additional necessities focused on ease of use, ease of implementation, and “out of the box” performance. There are multiple top vendors pulled in to the mix to provide these services.  

 

These products will not only impress you but more importantly they will impress your end users, so much so that they may start talking about its ease of use and their lack of spam. We have had several folks ask if their email was off, once they reviewed their quarantine, they saw that what they were missing was what they did not want in the first place. 

 

Changes at AASP

 

AASP is under going some major changes. Corrina Wolfe has resigned to pursue other activities, she will be missed and we wish her well in her future endeavors.

All names and passwords have been reloaded to the NEW website so anyone that had a problem logging in to the members only section in the past, should be able to log in.  If you do experience a problem send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will reset it for you.

 

There is a new AASP website online; this site has many new features and additions. Here are a few:

 

1.       NEW Password lookup is added so if you forget it you can have it sent to you. Logging into the member’s only section is in the upper right corner of the home page. When successfully logged in you will see the member’s only section within the left menu. To log into the back office (update or change information about your company, add customers to the benefits or loyalty program, both now a free service) select Member Services Login from the left menu. Note The two login areas do not share the same data base for security reasons.

 

            2.       NEW New look. AASP has updated the look and made the site easier to

                  navigate.

            3.       NEW More content. We have added several new content areas as well

                  as revising and updating some of the old sections.

                            a.       NEW Newsfeeds and news ticker have been added to have

                                  a one stop spot to check the latest news from multiple industry

                                  news sources. If you have a favorite not there let us know and

                                  we will see about adding it.

                            b.       NEW Addition of polling capabilities, we need member

                                  feedback to be affective, polling is the quickest way to

                                  get feedback and requires only a minute of your time.

                                  Take time to vote on the new site in the first poll.

                            c.       NEW Member forums are added. This will give the members

                                  a place to talk about issues or problems that they are seeing

                                  or need help with. The main forum is for members only and

                                  will not be open to vendors. There is a second forum that has

                                  the vendors of AASP as members so if you have questions

                                  for them you can check here and ask if you do not see what

                                  you are looking for. This will be a way to get information to the

                                  whole membership at one time and share experiences and

                                  learn from each other and possibly head off potential problems.

                                  Sharing of things that are working for you is also a good thing

                                  as well, as this can only benefit the industry as a whole.

                            d.       NEW Corporate members page to give credit to the

                                  companies within our industry that give their support to AASP

                                  and its members. These may not be regular vendors but

                                  support us in other ways.

                            e.       Marketing information is provided on an on going basis

                                  provided for AASP by Brock Henderson. Also included in the

                                  members only section is information on what other members

                                  have found to be successful for them in their markets. There

                                  will be sample ads and templates.

                                    i.    NEW In addition to this there will be marketing programs

                                       in the member’s only section on some products and

                                       services that have been used. When available we will

                                       include results that other ISPs have had.

                            f.         Legal information is provided on an on going basis provided

                                  by Kristopher Twomey, telecom and Internet lawyer and

                                  regulatory consultant.

                            g.       NEW New Services will contain a brief overview of products or

                                 services that are new to AASP for the membership.  

    h.       Regulatory This section will bring information to you from

          other groups that AASP works with, to keep you up to date

          on what is going on. Here we would also like input from ISP's

          as to what is happening in their state so it can be included

          and monitored.

          It may help ISPs in other states to know what is happening

          elsewhere.

                            i.         Benefits Here you will find information on the current benefits

                                  to the members. We will do an update to this as things change

                                  with the Health care initiative. As things stand now we have

                                  taken a major hit with OR voting down any sort of AHPs. We

                                  will continue to push for this at the national level.

                            j.         AASP News This has been redone to fit its original format.

                                  Here you will find information on AASP in the press new

                                  relationships and other things going on behind the scenes

                                  at AASP. There is more going on than one would think.

                            k.       NEW AASP Managed services This is where you will find

                                  information on new services that AASP is developing. Bringing

                                  the members new products and services that are combining

                                  multiple vendors to provide a single service. We have to

                                  manage these vendors and services to make it available to

                                  you. The first of these cutting edge products you read about

                                  above.

 

There will also be a new format and procedure for the Newsletter. The old newsletter did not contain enough informative information. There will be more information and articles provided by vendors, supporters, people from our industry and members, these will be informative and not a sales pitch. Being that the content and the format is changing for the newsletter, the size may be larger than we would want to email to all members. There will be an announcement made with highlights from the newsletter; the full issue will be available online. You will need to login to see the current issue as it will be for members only for thirty days. The archived newsletters will be in the public section of the site. We feel that information about your membership should be seen by you first.
